    A Holy Night

As promised, I now have the final recording for O Holy Night from our Christmas program. This was recorded about a week before the actual program by one of the guys who does his own recording/mixing. The arrangement was written by the fellow playing the piano, so it’s all in house. I think it turned out really well, and I hope you enjoy it! Merry Christmas Everyone!

    Barbershop Christmas

I’ve spoken of my love more music many times in my books and on Austen Authors. Recently I joined a barbershop quartet group. If you need a bit of humility in your life, join a group doing something you love and you think you’re pretty good at, then play catch up with the other members.   The other guys have been singing together for many years and recently lost their fourth member to a move, and brought me in to replace him. I’ve sung barbershop before, but always one offs, never as part of a group who focused on the genre. Trying to get up to speed has been challenging,…

Just a Little Early Christmas Cheer

I’ve started to create a loose posting schedule, which will hopefully help me pull attention from other things for this blog. While I won’t commit to a rigid schedule at this time, it’s my hope that this will lead me to posting one, maybe two a week.   For today, I thought I’d share a quick Christmas video with you. I’ve spoken in other places, including the bio that goes into every one of my books, of my love of music, and of Christmas music in particular. I hope to have some recordings of the groups I’m involved with closer to Christmas, but I thought I’d share a video on…

It’s a Little Quiet Around Here

Yeah, I know. I spent a whole bunch of time getting this site together and not a single post since. I think I really am going to have to come up with a schedule. Otherwise it’s simply too easy to push it off in order to concentrate on other things. For tonight, I’ll just share a post I wrote for Austen Authors, an except of the upcoming second volume of Bonds of Life. More to come. https://www.austenauthors.net/time-for-an-excerpt/

    Welcome to My Site!

Hello and welcome to my site! If you are landing here, I am assuming you already know something about me and will not go too much into the basics. If you landed here by chance and do not know much about me, my bio page will give you the Coles Notes version of yours truly. Some of what you will find in this post will resemble what I posted on Austen Authors last week, and if so, I apologize. This initial post is intended a bit of an explanation about myself and what you might expect to see here in the future.   For those who are not familiar with…
